The latest version of the app contains several improvements, one of them is a new section called Scanning. In this section, you can find a new way of using the camera for scanning purposes. Now you can take a picture of the resistor and the software will automatically recognize the colour of the bands. So you will not have to manually enter the value of the resistor. Moreover, you can also choose the colour of the bands by selecting a colour from a list.
Another improvement is that you can now select the placement of the resistor. So you can now place it horizontally or vertically on a white background.
The other improvement is that the app can now detect the values of the resistors that have a value in millohms. So now the app will work for any type of resistor, even with a value that is not in ohms.
Resistance is a physical property of a material. It is a measure of the opposition that occurs between current flow and the voltage across a material. The larger the resistance, the greater the force that is required to overcome it.
The accuracy of the app depends on many factors, such as the resolution of the camera, the lighting conditions, and the type of resistor. So it is not as accurate as it should be.
